Plant Manager

About the role

USALCO, LLC is a leading provider of aluminum‑based components for water treatment, pulp and paper, oil refining catalysts and other markets. The Plant Manager will lead the Dorado plant, ensuring safe, efficient operations that meet quality, regulatory and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations across production, logistics, planning, quality, maintenance, safety and materials.
• Coordinate with Sales, Technical Services and Customer Service to align production with customer demand and delivery commitments.
• Monitor productivity, equipment utilization and inventory, driving process improvements and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with quality specifications, NSF requirements and regulatory standards, supporting audits and corrective actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture, overseeing training, inspections and risk assessments.
• Supervise plant personnel, manage payroll and PTO, and support hiring, training and performance development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in the chemical or related industrial sector.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise employees and coordinate multiple operational areas.
• Knowledge of production processes, logistics, inventory control, quality, maintenance and safety systems.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness and availability to travel outside Puerto Rico for training and support of other plants.
