Regas Operator

About the role

The Regas Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Regas Plant in Puerto Rico. The role involves monitoring, controlling and maintaining all plant parameters to meet production goals while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, inspect and control all parameters at the Regas Plant, including LNG receipt and regasification processes.
• Ensure proper handling, transportation and storage of LNG and other flammable materials following safety procedures.
• Detect and respond to quality issues, leaks, spills or process upsets.
• Provide start‑up, shutdown and simulated emergency support to avoid equipment failures.
• Maintain equipment reliability, optimize resources and reduce downtime.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a process plant or similar facility.
• Experience with distribution or processing of gas for utilities or industrial plants.
• Familiarity with control‑room environments and industrial control systems.
• Knowledge of HSSE management systems and safe operational practices.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Required skills

• Operation of panel boards, control boards and semi‑automatic equipment.
• Industrial control system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Safety and environmental procedure implementation.
