Senior Accountant

About the role

Lutron is seeking a Senior Accountant to support its manufacturing operations in Cartago. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance to translate daily production activity into reliable financial results.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly and year‑end close, preparing journal entries and completing account reconciliations.
• Validate inventory activity, review variances, support cycle counts and ensure accurate inventory valuation.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records, calculate depreciation, track construction‑in‑progress and support asset audits.
• Prepare financial reports, analyze results and provide insights on costs, margins and operational performance.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and follow up on open items.
• Support budgeting and forecasting by preparing schedules and variance explanations.
• Use ERP systems (SAP or JDE) to streamline processes and improve reporting.
• Assist internal and external audits with schedules, documentation and explanations.
• Participate in special projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives to strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• Early‑career accounting professional who is detail‑oriented and eager to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a collaborative approach to cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or JDE.
• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards.
