Material Handler II – Shift D (12‑hour)

About the role

The Material Handler II works on Shift D (12 hours) in a pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing plant, loading, unloading and moving sterilized materials throughout the facility. The role ensures compliance with batch procedures, maintains accurate records, and supports production flow.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport sterilized materials between filling, packing, pouch and rotary areas.
• Verify batch loads, record sample times, and move samples to the in‑process laboratory.
• Organize trucks at shift start, perform line clearance, and manage dummy trucks at batch end.
• Operate and perform minor preventive maintenance on forklifts, including battery checks.
• Pick up scrap, weigh and account for material at shift end.
• Secure loads on pallets, trays, racks and vehicles, applying strapping, bracing or padding as needed.
• Operate electric hoist to move materials and products.
• Count, weigh and record units moved on daily production sheets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to understand simple instructions and write basic correspondence.
• Capability to present information clearly in one‑on‑one or small‑group settings.
