Assembly Operator – Medical Device Manufacturing

About the role

Join Viant’s manufacturing team in Puerto Rico to assemble life‑enhancing medical devices. You will work on assigned assembly stations, ensuring each product meets strict quality specifications and follows Good Manufacturing Practices.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily assembly tasks in the designated area while adhering to GMP, One Piece Flow, and 5S standards.
• Operate the Kanban inventory system and verify correct part availability.
• Inspect finished products for compliance with quality specifications and report any issues to supervisors.
• Package products correctly, complete labeling, and fill out required paperwork.
• Follow safety policies, wear approved safety glasses, and lift objects up to 50 lb as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably as a molding operator.
• Working knowledge of quality system requirements and completed training for the assigned work area.

Required skills

• Ability to read and follow simple written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Familiarity with GMP procedures, One Piece Flow, 5S, and Kanban inventory control.
• Proficiency with common hand tools and occasional use of sharp tools.
