Contract Licensed Psychologist (ABA Therapy)

About the role

ABA Centers, a provider of autism care, is hiring a Licensed Psychologist for its Diagnostic Services Department. The psychologist works under the Director of the department and completes psychological and neuropsychological testing, reviews and signs reports, and supervises and trains the Psychometrists in the region or state. The position is remote and requires the candidate to live in Puerto Rico.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neuropsychological, psychological and/or psychoeducational evaluations of clients referred for learning, behavioral, emotional and/or social difficulties.
• Give written and oral feedback on results, diagnostic impressions and recommendations for remediation, including referrals.
• Conduct evaluations in person and/or virtually, and hold follow-up feedback sessions with the patient or their legal guardian.
• Write a report with findings, diagnoses and recommendations, kept in the medical record and shared with the patient/guardian and referral source in line with HIPAA.
• Upload documentation in a timely manner per departmental policy.
• Provide direct supervision (individual/group) and training of Neuropsychological Testing/Assessment to Psychometrists, and seek supervision when needed.
• Stay current in the field and attend weekly regional clinical training meetings, including didactic seminars.
• Maintain an active license and good standing with the state board of psychology, comply with HIPAA policies, and attend staff meetings.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Developmental Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) with training in assessment of pediatric and adolescent neurodevelopmental disorders, including learning disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability.
• Prior training in assessment, administration, scoring and interpretation of neuropsychological tests.
• Experience administering measures of intellectual functioning, development and autism spectrum disorder, including the ADOS-2.
• Clean background and drug screening, and a clean driving record.
• English proficiency; Spanish is a plus.

What we offer

• Pay of $150 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
• 1099 independent contractor status; contractors are responsible for their own taxes, licensure and professional liability coverage.
• No employee benefits are provided.
