Desktop Support Technician – Life Sciences

About the role

The company enables scientists, researchers, and clinicians to tackle critical challenges across science and healthcare. This position provides on‑site technical support for laboratory IT environments that are tightly integrated with scientific instrumentation. The role is fully onsite in Juncos, PR, with standard hours of 8 AM‑5 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and support customer laboratory IT environments, including benchtop computing designs.
• Administer Windows‑based platforms, ensuring connectivity, security, and compliance.
• Maintain desktop hardware, peripherals, operating systems, enterprise print strategy, and application packaging.
• Manage onboarding, retirement, and relocation of equipment.
• Provide technical support to field service engineers and troubleshoot instrument and IT issues.
• Create and maintain inventory of lab equipment, PCs, and software.
• Submit weekly engineer reports and act as liaison for hardware/software inquiries.

Required profile

• Excellent customer service with strong listening and interpretation skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technology issues.
• Associate degree or equivalent industry experience.
• At least one year of deskside experience with Windows technologies, networking, remote computing, and backup systems.
