Educational Facilitator – $100,000/year

About the role

Alpha School runs a 2‑Hour Learning model where K‑8 students master a full day of academics in about two hours using adaptive learning apps. Your job is the part the software can’t do – coaching kids through life‑skills such as public speaking, focus, teamwork, and giving and receiving feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Coach K‑8 students one‑on‑one and in small groups using Coachbot analytics and dashboards to identify and resolve learning obstacles.
• Apply Alpha’s motivation framework (leaderboards, incentives, weekly goal‑setting) to keep every student advancing at the expected pace.
• Run hour‑long, hands‑on life‑skills workshops on public speaking, focus, teamwork, and feedback, using project‑based, interactive methods.
• Administer Test2Pass mastery assessments and enforce the rule that students do not advance until they truly demonstrate competence.
• Build high‑trust relationships with students so accountability feels motivating rather than punitive.

Required profile

• Willingness to work on‑site at Alpha’s Dorado, Puerto Rico campus.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience directly working with K‑8 students through teaching, tutoring, youth programs, camps, or sports coaching.
• Evidence of high personal achievement in academic, athletic, or professional arenas.
• Ability to engage groups of K‑8 students through energetic, interactive workshops.
• Demonstrated capacity to motivate young people toward ambitious goals.
• Leadership and role‑model behavior that combines high standards with strong support.
• Legal right to work in the United States or Puerto Rico without visa sponsorship.
