General Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The General Manager will lead Fairmont El San Juan, one of Puerto Rico's iconic luxury resort destinations, delivering operational excellence, commercial leadership, and exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Drive financial performance, control costs and execute marketing and operational activities to meet or exceed the hotel’s business plan.
• Oversee renovation projects, maintain transparency and manage stakeholder relationships, including ownership representatives.
• Ensure product and service quality standards through ongoing evaluations and guest feedback management.
• Lead a high‑performing team, fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture and promoting continuous learning.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a General Manager in a luxury hotel or resort, with strong operational and commercial credentials.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; ability to engage local stakeholders and lead a diverse team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage owner relations and navigate complex, highly engaged ownership environments.
• Strategic thinker with excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Sales, marketing and revenue‑management expertise.
