Temporary Bartender - Caña PM

About the role

Fairmont El San Juan Hotel, located on Isla Verde Beach in Puerto Rico near Old San Juan, is hiring a temporary bartender for its Caña bar. The position is full-time and pays $20.88 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and service all permanent and portable bars of the hotel.
• Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely way, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Prepare drinks for servers so they can supply guest orders.
• Process all billing and payments, checking that every drink served is recorded correctly in the POS system.
• Break down and secure the bar station at the end of each shift.

Required profile

• High school graduate.
• Ability to speak English and Spanish.
• 2 years of food and beverage experience, preferably with VIP clients.
• Hospitality experience preferred.

Required skills

• Technical bartending experience.
• Knowledge of wines, including a certificate of completion of a wine-training seminar or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
