About the role
The Grant Management Associate supports post‑disaster recovery and mitigation programs in Puerto Rico by researching federal requirements and translating guidance into compliant policies, procedures, and documentation for HUD‑funded initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Research federal requirements and translate guidance into compliant policies, procedures, and program documentation for HUD‑funded programs such as CDBG‑DR and CDBG‑MIT.
- Develop and update action plans, program guidelines, standard operating procedures, and written policies to meet federal and state requirements.
- Support monitoring, audit readiness, and regulatory reporting, including preparing project plans for audit visits and coordinating internal reviews.
- Review service provider contracts, amendments, and memorandum of understanding templates for regulatory compliance and propose necessary edits.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or Public Policy.
- At least one year of experience in public administration, government, policy, or compliance, preferably with housing, community development, or disaster recovery programs.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Ability to travel 10 %–25 % as required.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience using Smartsheet for project and task management.
- Bilingual communication skills (Spanish and English).
