Hotel Cashier / Order Taker

About the role

The Outlet Cashier/Order Taker is responsible for handling guest payments, providing accurate change, and supporting front‑of‑house operations in a busy hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect payments from guests and servers, operate credit‑card machines and provide correct change.
• Prepare and reconcile the cashier report at the end of each shift.
• Assist the host/hostess with greeting and seating guests promptly.
• Take room‑service orders and handle phone reservations following hotel standards.
• Support servers and other team members during service periods.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift and lift up to 20 lb occasionally.
• Flexible schedule with the possibility of long hours.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; courteous and service‑oriented.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and maintain confidentiality.
