Patient Support Programs Manager

About the role

At AbbVie, business strategies are centered around patients. The Patient Support Programs Manager will oversee all AbbVie patient support programs and coordinate multiple support functions for the field team. This role reports to the Patient Relations Manager and works cross‑functionally with brand teams and business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AbbVie Care Specialists and Patient Advocates, providing training, mentoring and feedback.
• Implement and monitor metrics to measure program effectiveness, identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and ethical standards for patient programs.
• Develop messaging and positioning for programs, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and budgets.
• Oversee creation of digital and printed program resources by guiding creative agencies.
• Connect regularly with stakeholders to assess program status and drive decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in science, business, public health or related field.
• 3+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, access/reimbursement support or case management.
• Proven leadership abilities with an empathetic, caring personality.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel island‑wide and hold a valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
• Experience in data analysis, reporting and creating presentations.
