Physical Therapy Assistant

About the role

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will provide home‑based physical therapy services to patients in various towns across Puerto Rico. Working under the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist, the PTA follows physician orders and the prescribed plan of care to support patients’ recovery in their own residences.

Key responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy treatments to patients on an intermittent basis at their place of residence.
• Deliver care in accordance with physician orders and the established plan of care while under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.

Required profile

• Graduate from a two‑year college program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current licensure in the state(s) of practice.
• Minimum of six months of relevant experience.
• Ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Acceptance of the agency’s philosophy and goals.
