QC Lab Technician – Fixed‑Term Contractor

About the role

The QC Lab Technician supports critical quality control work that ensures medicines are released responsibly and efficiently. This fixed‑term contractor position is based in Puerto Rico and involves shift rotation, including day, night, and weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, analyze, verify and approve samples according to established procedures.
• Prepare materials, condition equipment, calculate results and report them in the required systems.
• Participate in method validation, transfer processes and instrument qualifications, including protocol preparation and final reporting.
• Support investigative processes by generating documents and taking part in analytical investigations.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, ensure proper use of reagents, keep the lab clean and safe, and report EHS incidents.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a science field, preferably Chemistry.
• 1–2 years of experience in a GMP laboratory environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (2‑3‑2 schedule, day/night, weekends).

Required skills

• Knowledge of cGMP and laboratory best practices.
• Experience with analytical method validation and instrument qualification.
• Ability to use laboratory equipment and software for data entry and reporting.
