Security Engineer

About the role

The Security Engineer will ensure enterprise security, support compliance goals, and foster a security‑first culture across the organization. This hybrid position works with a global user community to monitor and improve security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise the SIEM system, including data source integration, correlation rules, dashboards, reports and alerts.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and maintain performance, availability and security of SIEM and EDR/XDR solutions.
• Develop and update documentation, procedures and training materials for security tools.
• Conduct security assessments, audits and penetration testing to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with IT, network and development teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support incident response activities, including forensic analysis and remediation.
• Ensure security policies, procedures and controls align with frameworks such as NIST, PCI‑DSS and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 2+ years of security experience and at least 1 year with SIEM or EDR/XDR technologies.
• Strong business and technical acumen with the ability to communicate security concepts to stakeholders.
• Experience preparing reports for audits, risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• SIEM design, configuration and optimisation.
• EDR/XDR technologies.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800‑53, NIST‑CSF, PCI‑DSS.
• Certifications: CEH, Security+, CISSP.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365, Power Pivot and Power BI.
