Senior Accountant

About the role

As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing cash accounting activities, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and related month‑end close processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting timely reporting, and maintaining strong controls over cash and intercompany balances.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly cash reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and legal entities, record cash receipts, disbursements, fees, transfers and investigate unusual items.
• Manage and reconcile intercompany balances, prepare journal entries, settlements, allocations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and journal entries for monthly and quarterly close, analyze balance‑sheet accounts and support financial‑statement preparation.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities, develop accounting procedures, support automation initiatives and ensure compliance with internal controls and US GAAP.
• Partner with Treasury, Accounts Payable/Receivable and global accounting teams to resolve cash‑related and intercompany issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or master’s degree preferred) with 4–7 years of accounting/financial reporting experience.
• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Strong experience with large automated accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and supervisory abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Solid analytical, financial‑planning skills and knowledge of US GAAP.
