Supervisor, Production

About the role

The Production Supervisor leads the Molding area, applying lean manufacturing techniques and supervising personnel to meet quality, service, and cost objectives. The role ensures compliance with product certifications and drives continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and adhere to production schedules to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Identify and execute corrective actions for material shortages, equipment downtime, capacity limits, and quality non‑conformances.
• Maintain Quality System integrity and enforce HCL Quality Manual procedures.
• Recommend hiring, promotions, wage adjustments, disciplinary actions, and terminations for supervised staff.
• Oversee personnel safety, procure protective equipment, train staff on proper use, and conduct safety audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of relevant experience, including prior production leadership in a lean environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are highly desirable.

Required skills

• SMED, DOE, SPC, Cp/Cpk analysis.
• Experience with auxiliary equipment: dryers, thermolators, feeders, hoopers, granulators, hot runners.
• Robotics knowledge (Cartesian or 6‑axis robots).
• Understanding of thermoplastic resins.
• Strong application of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Proficiency with related manufacturing systems and software.
