Vice President of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition

About the role

The Vice President of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition leads HR and recruiting strategy for a multi‑entity organization operating across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Colombia. Reporting to the CEO, this hands‑on executive role builds systems, drives growth, and works fluently in English and Spanish.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HR and Talent Acquisition functions with three direct reports and expand the team in San Juan and Medellín.
• Develop and execute a people strategy covering organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee relations.
• Oversee high‑volume retail recruiting, executive searches, and maintain a 12‑month hiring forecast aligned with expansion plans.
• Design compensation structures, salary bands, benefits strategy, and administer total‑reward programs across all locations.
• Own the HR technology stack (Greenhouse ATS, Wurk HRIS, AI‑enabled screening tools) and drive automation of core processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; 8+ years progressive HR experience with 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Full professional fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Proven experience building or rebuilding an HR function for multi‑site, multi‑country workforces.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. multi‑state and Puerto Rico employment law; familiarity with Colombian employment practices.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with an Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse) and HR Information System (Wurk).
• Use of AI tools for drafting, analysis, and process design.
• Advanced analytical skills with workforce and compensation data.
