Care Center Registered Nurse (12-month contract)

About the role

The Care Center RN provides comprehensive nursing care in a fast‑paced environment, performing assessments, administering medications, and supporting both adult and pediatric patients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment and triage, including vital signs and neurological status.
• Administer intravenous, intramuscular, oral, and other medications per orders.
• Manage wounds, hemorrhages, fractures, burns and other emergencies.
• Prepare procedures, assist physicians, and coordinate patient transfers.
• Document evaluations, interventions, patient responses, and critical events accurately.
• Follow isolation protocols, infection control, and safety measures.
• Verify emergency equipment functionality and collaborate on supply inventory.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families and perform shift handoffs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and active RN license in Puerto Rico.
• Minimum three years of related experience, preferably in an Emergency Room.
• Active membership in a professional nursing association.

Required skills

• IV, intramuscular and oral medication administration.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Vital signs monitoring and neurological assessment.
