Account Manager – Hybrid (Puerto Rico)

About the role

The Account Manager will drive profitable sales growth within an assigned portfolio of customers across the Southwest Region of Puerto Rico. Using a consultative sales approach, you will own the overall relationship, develop long‑term partnerships, and deliver Grainger’s value‑added solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and expand relationships at all levels within assigned accounts, selling Grainger’s products, services, and solutions.
• Maintain a disciplined call plan, spending roughly 80% of time in the field and 20% on administrative tasks.
• Achieve sales, margin, and growth targets by creating and executing structured account plans.
• Manage pipeline, activities, and performance using CRM and other sales enablement tools.
• Leverage internal specialists and external suppliers to remove barriers and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Promote adoption of Grainger’s e‑commerce and inventory‑management programs to increase share of wallet.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in MRO, industrial, safety, or distribution.
• Fluent bilingual communication in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Valid Puerto Rico driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance.
• Self‑motivated, high energy, and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CRM and sales‑management tools.

• Base salary range $42,900 – $71,500 per year, plus incentive potential up to $14,000.
