Energy Account Manager

About the role

Resource Innovations is looking for an Energy Account Manager to support commercial and industrial utility customers in Puerto Rico. You will manage end‑use accounts, identify energy‑saving projects, and guide customers through implementation to achieve program goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide program‑level support to clients, customers, and contractors while promoting energy‑efficient solutions.
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to maximize participation and savings in your service area.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize energy‑saving opportunities through site visits, data review, and collaboration with engineers.
• Maintain relationships with utility representatives, customers, and internal teams, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Track outreach and project forecasts in a CRM and proactively manage stalled projects to closure.

Required profile

• Academic degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, or outreach.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in commercial/industrial facilities (HVAC, lighting, motors, compressed air, refrigeration).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work remotely, manage multiple projects, and travel locally up to 50% of the time.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience using CRM software for tracking and reporting.
