Cloud Engineer Graduate

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is recruiting a Cloud Engineer Graduate in Aguadilla. The role is designed as hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week spent in an HPE office. The position sits within the Cloud Developer family, which builds cloud-based solutions from the ground up for mission-critical applications and works with project managers and development partners on delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring and support.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and implement cloud solutions tailored to business needs.
• Assist in deploying and configuring cloud infrastructure, platforms and services, and contribute to optimizing and automating deployment processes.
• Test and troubleshoot cloud systems to ensure reliability, performance and security.
• Stay up to date with cloud computing trends and best practices and recommend improvements.
• Support ongoing cloud operations and provide technical assistance as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• Typically 0-2 years of experience.

Required skills

• At least one programming language such as C, C++, Python, JavaScript or Java, plus web sockets and cloud networking protocols.
• Familiarity with software design across multiple platform types.
• Basic understanding of OOP, MVC patterns, SQL/NoSQL databases, GNU/Linux, IPC, process scheduling and TCP/IP.
• Some exposure to full-stack Java development, Java frameworks and application servers, SOAP/REST APIs, responsive JS (Angular/Node/React.js) and version control (preferably Git).
