Lab Automation Tooling Developer

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Device Layer Management (DLM) team builds and maintains a suite of web portal-based lab automation tools, written mainly in Ruby and Python. The role is hybrid, with about two days per week spent in an HPE office. It supports the Engineering labs in the Networking organization and several Technical Support labs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the suite of lab automation tools
• Develop RESTful microservices
• Support a user base of over 5,000 internal users
• Gain experience across the full development process, including developing, debugging and testing applications
• Learn advanced development and code management techniques

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• Experience developing AI applications
• General computer networking understanding

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Python (required)
• Relation database experience (nice to have)
• Ruby-on-Rails experience (nice to have)
