Senior Engineering Program Manager - Hybrid Cloud & Storage

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Senior Engineering Program Manager in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, working in a hybrid setup with about two days per week in an HPE office. The role leads the NPI introduction and sustaining support of Hybrid Cloud and Storage Platforms in Operations, and drives strategic projects and initiatives that improve or implement new processes. It suits someone with a strong background in AI tools and AI project implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a program across multiple functions and project teams that covers the engineering development and implementation of a product or service.
• Develop and direct schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation and other support requirements for the program.
• Manage supporting project teams and internal development partners, updating schedules and resources as needed to meet product requirements.
• Communicate progress, escalations and issue analysis to product stakeholders and recommend changes to product, processes or business practices.
• Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into manufacturing and engineering projects.
• Mentor and guide less experienced staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Typically 6-10 years of experience as a Program Manager.
• Experience with AI strategy and AI implementations.
• PMP/PMI certification preferred; PMP or Six Sigma is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and the local language.

• Extensive experience with project and program planning tools and software to create, manage and track project results.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate program plans, proposals and results and negotiate at senior management level.
