Custodial Lead, Puerto Rico

About the role

The Custodial Lead is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas in Puerto Rico, while providing direction to the custodial team. This role supports the Custodial Supervisor in daily operations, scheduling, and training.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all janitorial duties according to the daily schedule.
• Guide and assist custodians under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment and maintain its inventory, repair, and upkeep.
• Track and replenish cleaning supplies, and assist in purchasing equipment.
• Conduct quality, service, and safety inspections and report incidents.
• Monitor proper use of personal protective equipment and correct unsafe behavior.
• Assist in scheduling, training, and documentation of staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of related custodial experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification; driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, strong verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment maintenance.

Required skills

• Operation of motorized cleaning equipment.
• Forklift operation (if certified).
• CPR/AED/First Aid.
