Director of Site Engineering Operations

About the role

The Director of Site Engineering Operations leads the Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities, Utilities and Environmental organization at Bristol Myers Squibb’s Manatí site. The role ensures equipment reliability, availability and compliance while driving a multi‑year digital transformation to create a connected, data‑driven manufacturing ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for engineering, maintenance, capital projects and utilities to meet production quality, cost and capacity goals.
• Own and execute the site’s digital transformation roadmap, including IoT condition monitoring, digital twins, advanced analytics and AI applications.
• Establish reliability‑centered maintenance, predictive maintenance and asset‑lifecycle management programs to improve OEE, MTBF and MTTR.
• Lead energy management, sustainability and decarbonization initiatives for utilities and facilities.
• Drive organizational change, workforce upskilling and the creation of a digital Center of Excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
• At least 10 years of pharmaceutical or medical‑device manufacturing experience, including 5 years in a managerial role.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with strong communication skills.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, lead large teams and deliver continuous‑improvement results.
