Engineering Development Co‑Op

About the role

The Engineering Development Co‑Op supports engineering teams in MedTech product development and manufacturing. The 12‑month, full‑time assignment (January‑December 2027) provides hands‑on experience with design, testing, documentation, and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist engineers with design, prototyping, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Support CAD modeling and implement simple design updates under guidance.
• Conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and summarize results for engineering teams.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, engineering drawings, and test reports.
• Support manufacturing, laboratory, or shop‑floor activities as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and present project progress and findings.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on engineering initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Completed at least the freshman year of an accredited university program.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Full‑time student status for the entire co‑op period.
• Authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Basic knowledge of data‑analysis tools like Python or MATLAB (preferred).
