Senior Parenteral Manufacturing Technician

About the role

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Parenteral Manufacturing Technician to work the night shift (5 pm – 5:30 am) in its Manati, Puerto Rico facility. The role supports aseptic and isolator‑based manufacturing of high‑value biologics, ensuring product quality and compliance with cGMP, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical evaluation, troubleshooting, and minor diagnosis of manufacturing equipment failures.
• Execute complex aseptic processes such as diafiltration, protein formulation, filling into syringes/vials, lyophilization, CIP/SIP, and vapor‑hydrogen‑peroxide decontamination.
• Monitor critical process parameters, take corrective actions to prevent deviations, and maximize product yield.
• Maintain accurate production records, verify calibrations, and ensure proper waste handling according to EHS procedures.
• Support maintenance teams, participate in quality investigations, audit batch records, and assist with validation and requalification activities.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a technical field with 7 years pharmaceutical experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in parenteral manufacturing/isolation technology.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, follow SOPs, and train new employees.
• Fluent in English (reading/writing) and able to understand Spanish technical documents.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, rotative shifts, weekends, and holidays.
