About the role

The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Bayamón. The RN will assess physical and behavioral health needs, develop care plans, and educate patients and families. This position operates within the standards of the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health status and document findings continuously.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications accurately, including controlled substances, and maintain proper documentation.
• Coordinate admission and discharge processes, ensuring all required paperwork is completed.
• Communicate significant changes in patient condition to physicians promptly.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current RN license for Puerto Rico or eligibility to practice.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience; experience in psychiatric, mental health, or substance‑use settings is a plus.

Required skills

• CPR certification (training provided if needed).
• De‑escalation and restraint certification.
• First aid certification as required by state or facility.
