General Foreman – Utility Vegetation Management

About the role
The General Foreman leads multiple field crews performing utility vegetation management, right‑of‑way maintenance, tree trimming and damage assessment across Puerto Rico. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule and in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and support multiple crews engaged in utility vegetation and right‑of‑way operations.
- Plan, organize and coordinate daily work activities to meet safety, quality and schedule targets.
- Monitor productivity, staffing levels and operational performance across assigned territories.
- Conduct field inspections, job site audits and safety observations to ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
- Train, mentor and develop foremen and field personnel, reviewing time records and production reports.
- Coordinate equipment, vehicles, tools and personnel resources to maximize efficiency and communicate with customers, utility representatives and internal leadership.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in utility vegetation management, forestry, tree care or related field operations.
- At least three (3) years supervisory experience leading multiple crews.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, ANSI and utility vegetation management safety requirements.
Required skills
- ISA Certified Arborist (or equivalent certification).
- ISA Utility Specialist, CTSP or similar industry certification.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrated ability to apply OSHA and ANSI safety standards in field operations.
