Housekeeping Inspector

About the role

The Housekeeping Inspector oversees the cleaning of guest rooms, ensuring they meet Highgate Hotels' high standards of cleanliness and readiness for guests. This position involves daily inspections, coordination with housekeeping staff, and communication with guest services.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect assigned rooms daily to verify standards and productivity.
• Notify and re‑inspect room attendants on any deficiencies.
• Maintain daily assignment records and key control.
• Supervise laundry employees when needed and oversee cart and linen area organization.
• Report out‑of‑order rooms and initiate work orders for repairs.
• Train room attendants and monitor VIP guest requests.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework helpful.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for entire shift and lift up to 50 lb occasionally.
• Strong verbal and written communication with guests and staff.
• Attendance, personal appearance, and uniform compliance required.
