Maintenance Technician

About the role

Colliers is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the operation and upkeep of mechanical equipment, building systems, and general facilities. The role works closely with the Chief/Lead Engineer and Facility Manager to ensure high standards of service and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and building repairs, including equipment testing, changing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, filters, and ballasts.
• Handle routine tenant comfort calls and unscheduled maintenance issues such as plumbing emergencies, minor equipment malfunctions, electrical and lighting repairs, and locksmith functions.
• Assist with HVAC and mechanical duties, set‑up for events, furniture moves, and escorting service contractors.
• Monitor building supplies, maintain storage cleanliness, and record work activity in the CMMS.
• Respond to after‑hours emergency calls on a rotating basis and identify technical concerns for supervisors.

Required profile

• Knowledge of mechanical concepts, HVAC principles, basic electrical and plumbing.
• Excellent customer service and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to lift 50‑100 lb, climb ladders, and pass drug and background checks.
