National Account Manager

About the role

The National Account Manager will lead PepsiCo’s relationship with key national accounts in the Puerto Rico territory, driving growth through strategic planning, negotiation, and cross‑functional collaboration. This senior position is responsible for delivering a significant portion of the company’s sales and ensuring alignment with PepsiCo’s overall business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain long‑lasting relationships with assigned customers, negotiating win‑win agreements and managing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
• Lead the joint business planning process, including strategic and tactical plans, and ensure senior leadership engagement.
• Coordinate with functional teams such as District Managers, Category Management, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to achieve sales targets and innovation rollout.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and check‑book management, ensuring ROI and compliance with PepsiCo standards.

Required profile

• BBA in Marketing or Management (advanced degree preferred) with at least 7 years of sales experience in consumer‑packaged goods.
• Minimum 5 years in organized trade and 4 years of direct selling experience, including people‑management responsibilities.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and financial skills, fluent in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience with category management principles and retail industry dynamics.
