Principal UI / Front End Engineer

About the role

The Principal UI / Front End Engineer will lead the design, development, and delivery of cloud‑native and on‑premise security management platforms. This hybrid role requires working on‑site two days a week at an HPE office.

Key responsibilities

• Own and lead multiple core software modules from design through deployment, solving complex technical challenges.
• Define and implement organization‑wide UI architectures and methodologies across several platforms.
• Evaluate emerging UI technologies, create integration plans, and update architecture accordingly.
• Review UX designs for standards compliance and provide actionable feedback.
• Mentor junior engineers, promote best practices, and share technical knowledge across globally distributed teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software development experience with a focus on UI cloud applications and micro‑services architecture.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of delivering cloud‑native UI solutions at enterprise scale.
• Experience working with cross‑geography, globally distributed teams.

Required skills

• Front‑end frameworks: ReactJS, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS3.
• Cloud and container technologies: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, micro‑service deployment.
• Deep understanding of browser rendering, DOM performance optimization, and responsive design.
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical abilities.
