Repair & Maintenance Technician (Level 2)

About the role

The Repair & Maintenance 2 position is responsible for keeping the guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces of Fairmont El San Juan Hotel in excellent condition. You will work on a variety of systems to ensure the property remains safe, functional, and visually appealing for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry systems.
• Respond quickly to guest and staff service requests, diagnosing and fixing issues on site.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to prioritize tasks and ensure minimal disruption to hotel operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel policies.

Required profile

• High school, vocational or technical school graduate.
• 5‑6 years of progressive maintenance experience in a hotel or similar environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
• Basic computer proficiency on Windows platforms.
