Tooling Leader – Night Shift

About the role

The Leader‑Tooling will manage the 3rd‑shift tool center at CooperVision in Juana Diaz, overseeing insert and machine shop technicians, ensuring quality, performance and compliance with company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, design and improve tooling systems using CAD/CAM software.
• Define and prioritize tooling activities, manage insert, spare parts and component inventories.
• Monitor and improve equipment efficiency, KPI performance and cost‑effective solutions.
• Support new product introductions, capital acquisition justification and validation activities.
• Lead personnel scheduling, overtime coordination and ensure a safe working environment.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in tooling operations within a regulated industry (medical devices/pharma preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Proven leadership ability to drive team engagement and achieve goals.

Required skills

• SolidWorks or AutoCAD (CAD/CAM design).
• Microsoft Office suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Project.
• Minitab for statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and tooling technologies.
