Lab Coordinator / Phlebotomist (Bilingual English/Spanish)

About the role

Alcanza Clinical Research is seeking a Lab Coordinator/Phlebotomist to support multi‑site clinical trials. The role ensures lab procedures comply with GCP, ICH, FDA, HIPAA and company SOPs while handling specimens and inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Draw, process, and transport specimens according to trial requirements.
• Prepare and ship specimens to central labs, ensuring proper shipping methods.
• Monitor expiration dates on lab equipment and supplies; manage inventory and receive shipments.
• Assist with study start‑up lab supply preparation and maintain study‑specific inventory.
• Provide mentorship to new hires and support additional clinical research activities such as recruitment and data review.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of clinical laboratory processing experience (associate degree preferred).
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to complete and maintain CITI GCP and IATA training as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using electronic health records and web‑based applications.
• Fast, accurate typing (40+ wpm).
