Mechanical Design Engineer II

About the role

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II to develop complex components for aerospace gas turbine engines and power generation systems. The role is based in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, with an initial 90‑day onsite period followed by a 3/2 hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Design and model complex components using Siemens NX and create 2D drawings.
• Manage drawing changes in Teamcenter and support design reviews for internal and external audiences.
• Ensure compliance with GD&T (ASME Y14.5M) and project milestones.
• Collaborate with project managers, analytical teams, and manufacturing to meet deliverables.
• Travel up to 25% as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience using CAD software.
• Proficiency in English (read, write, speak).
• Strong understanding of GD&T and drawing interpretation.

Required skills

• Siemens NX (or CATIA) for 3D/2D CAD modeling.
• Teamcenter for product data management.
• ASME Y14.5M Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes such as casting, machining, sheet metal, tooling, welding, and brazing.
