Mid-Level Java Spring Boot Engineer

About the role

HPE Operations is looking for a Mid-Level Java/Spring Boot Developer to design, develop, test, secure, and support enterprise Java applications and microservices. The role focuses on modernizing applications, supporting cybersecurity initiatives, and contributing to Kubernetes‑based platform improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
• Create and implement RESTful APIs and backend services, and write automated unit tests with JUnit 5 and Mockito.
• Containerize applications with Docker and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub workflows.
• Address cybersecurity findings, remediate CVEs, and improve code quality via SonarQube.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Product teams for reliable solutions and production support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3‑5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Experience with Agile development, Git source control, and troubleshooting complex issues.
