Parking Cashier – Customer Service & Cash Handling

About the role

SP+ is looking for a friendly and reliable Parking Cashier to provide a smooth, stress‑free experience for drivers entering and leaving the facility. You will be the primary point of contact for payment collection, customer assistance, and maintaining the booth’s appearance.

Key responsibilities

• Greet each customer courteously and process parking payments, making change and issuing receipts or tickets.
• Count and verify the cash “bank” at the start and end of each shift, ensuring accuracy.
• Compute or re‑compute parking fees manually or via the register, and display the total to the customer.
• Provide directions to city locations and assist drivers with any inquiries.
• Complete lost‑ticket forms, resolve complaints, and involve a supervisor when needed.
• Answer telephone calls promptly and maintain a clean, organized booth.
• Track vehicle entries and exits, record daily transactions, and prepare shift reports.

Required profile

• Less than high‑school education or up to one month of related experience; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Ability to perform basic math operations, make change, and use a cash register or credit‑card machine.
• Clear communication skills for reading instructions, writing simple notes, and speaking with customers.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (if company vehicle use is required).
• Availability for various shifts, including 2nd/3rd shift and weekends as needed.
