Global Commodity Manager - Connectors

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Global Commodity Manager for Connectors in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The role is hybrid, with an average of two days per week spent in an HPE office. It covers execution of commodity and category strategies worldwide, procurement strategy and supply assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute company procurement strategies, policies and tactics, and procurement channel and category strategies for internal projects and third-party products and services
• Coordinate purchasing with engineering, manufacturing, strategic procurement and business units to keep inventories at planned levels, assure supply, maintain service levels and mitigate risk
• Solve complex business issues as a subject matter expert, contribute new ideas and lead or guide functional project teams and cross-functional initiatives
• Develop and run program and process solutions, monitor metrics and improve business processes
• Represent the organization to external customers and clients, and mentor lower-level employees

Required profile

• First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
• Typically 6-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with global procurement experience strongly preferred
• Mastery of English and the local language
