Global Commodity Manager - Printed Circuit Boards

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Global Commodity Manager for Printed Circuit Boards in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The role is hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week spent in an HPE office. It covers execution of commodity and category strategies worldwide, procurement strategy and coordination with engineering, manufacturing and business units.

Key responsibilities

• Execute company procurement strategies, policies and tactics, and ensure procurement channel and category strategies support internal projects and third-party products and services
• Coordinate purchasing with engineering, manufacturing, strategic procurement and business units to keep inventories at planned levels, assure supply, maintain service levels and mitigate risk; inventory management may be included
• At non-exempt level, assist with establishing and maintaining the production control system
• Lead or take part in cross-functional teams, develop new processes, program solutions and methods, and monitor programs and key metrics
• Mentor and guide lower-level contributors, and provide strategic development and analytic support
• Develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives across the company's businesses and geographies

Required profile

• First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
• Typically 6-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with global procurement experience strongly preferred
• Mastery of English and the local language
• Excellent understanding of corporate compliance
