Principal Product Manager - Certifications PLM

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager (Certifications PLM) to own the security strategy and cybersecurity compliance posture for a portfolio of networking products including routers, switches, firewalls and network management solutions. The role acts as business owner for product security initiatives, working with Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, Program Management, Compliance and Security teams. It is a hybrid position with about two days per week in an HPE office.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product security roadmap and drive security-by-design across product development
• Champion Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) processes and security gates, including SAST, SBOM generation, code signing, threat modelling and vulnerability remediation
• Lead security readiness reviews and define ownership models, RACI structures and execution plans
• Assess product security risks, track vulnerability remediation and support incident response and coordinated vulnerability disclosure
• Act as security subject-matter expert for customers, partners and government stakeholders, supporting sales and federal programs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security or a related field
• 10+ years of product line management, cybersecurity or compliance experience
• Strong understanding of networking technologies (routing, switching, security, cloud networking)
• Working knowledge of SDL practices and experience leading cross-functional initiatives
• Preferred: experience with Junos OS, NIST frameworks, Zero Trust, SSDF, software supply chain security, and certifications such as CISSP or CISM
