Procurement Operations Analyst

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Procurement Operations Analyst in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The role is designed as onsite, with the expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office. It covers execution of commodity and category strategies, purchasing and buying, and coordination with engineering, manufacturing and business units to maintain planned inventory levels and assure supply.

Key responsibilities

• Provide procurement support across multiple commodities and technologies, developing expertise in each.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners such as finance and legal to meet business objectives and control and compliance requirements.
• Assess the supply base of a category and participate in supplier selection activities.
• Negotiate contracts with low-risk suppliers, engage with low-complexity suppliers and may handle day-to-day operations of them.
• Execute standard risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management and operations strategies, and identify common contract risk areas.
• Collaborate with teams to maintain and improve operations and processes, and may lead activities in less complex domains.

Required profile

• First-level university degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically 2-4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain.
• Mastery of English and the local language.

Required skills

• Developed understanding of procurement processes.
• Analytical and technical aptitude, good business application and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of corporate compliance and basic project management skills.
