Senior Director, Technology

About the role

The Senior Director of Technology will lead the digital transformation of College Board’s Latin America operations. This hybrid position requires on‑site presence in San Juan on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and offers the opportunity to shape innovative technology solutions that improve service delivery and student impact across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a technology strategy aligned with business priorities, enterprise architecture, and security standards.
• Lead the LATAM technology roadmap, championing standardization, automation, and process re‑engineering.
• Ensure system designs comply with security, data governance, and accessibility standards (PCI, PII, SOC2, ISO 27001, WCAG).
• Translate business needs into clear requirements, oversee agile project delivery, and manage on‑shore/off‑shore development teams and vendors.
• Coach and develop a high‑performing team of engineers, fostering an inclusive, accountable culture.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive software engineering and technology leadership experience, with at least 5 years managing engineering teams in production environments.
• Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English, able to bridge technical and business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to drive innovation, improve customer experience, and deliver operational efficiencies.
